The success of the 360 assessment depends on the quality of the ratings and comments provided by the raters. The confidentiality assurances provided to raters help to promote candid feedback and support the overall quality of the ratings. As a result, SIGMA places an emphasis on making sure that raters understand the conditions under which they are providing their feedback, and on making sure that those conditions cannot be altered. SIGMA ensures that these confidentiality conditions are strictly applied within the 360 feedback report.

There are three confidentiality levels to choose from when setting up a SigmaRadius 360 assessment: High, Moderate, and Low.

      • If the feedback is being used for appraisal purposes, or there are issues that may lead to attempts to determine who provided a given rating, consider using the High confidentiality level. High confidentiality requires at least 3 ratings in each category. If less than 3 valid ratings are provided, it will result in scores being suppressed to protect confidentiality.
      • Most development feedback processes are best served by the Moderate confidentiality level. Moderate confidentiality requires at least 2 ratings in each category. Scores are suppressed when there are less than 2 valid ratings.
      • Where confidentiality is not an issue, you can select the Low confidentiality level where no scores are suppressed.
When you are setting up the 360 assessment, the default confidentiality level is set to Moderate. SIGMA recommends selecting High confidentiality.
